The exciting aspect of the embellishing machine is that it encourages you to create in a un- conventional way. By developing layers of texture via many materials especially those that are unusual or treasured in some way. The materials integrate and distort into one another enabling you infininate possibilities.
Tip for saving threads
I save all my off cut threads and trimmings by placing them by colour in empty jam jars or containers and linning them up near my embellisher machine. You cut off the threads etc and put them in your jars, you have an instant colour pallet and textures for embellishing and they soon mount up when working on other projects.
Tip for Changing Needles
When changing the needles place a piece of stiff card onto the machine base under the needle you are trying to remove and it catches it. Saving it from dropping down into your machine!
When replacing a needle put the needle into its slot and with one handhold the point of the needles with the piece of card and tighten the replaced needle in position with the tool and other hand. Saves trying to get tangled up with the other needles and they are all at the same height.
