This work derives from the women shape, form and presence, developed within different medias. I especially like to stitch and print the female form onto a surface so that it has to be discovered!
Passionate women stemmed from a vist to India, the vibrant fabrics, saris and life drawing classes.
There is your artipicle young classic Greek statue pose and two images of a woman one laying down facing us and the other with her back(bottom) to us. I wanted to show the difference between a young woman just starting out in life and the mature woman whose body is more interesting and has alot more to say about life.
The mixture on fabrics, texture and layers show that vibrancy of women and their tactile, femine and passionate persona.
I often start with life drawings and develop them into textile line drawings.
