A Collage A Day
I wanted to set myself the challenge of creating a collage everyday.
(Each collage is date stamped).
I was in the middle of researching my degree work on ‘Roadkill’.
I chose to give the collages a set of rules.
Remembrance
Red
Black
White
And
Stitch.
I wanted to use the colours of the
Roadkill Victims Trust and each collage was to take no longer than half an hour to make.
They had to fit on a standard greetings card blank and then onto an A4 piece of paper
to exhibit.
I also allowed for daily finds, from the floor, tickets and treasure!
I collected together all the bits and pieces I had that were red, black and white and then
linked them with the days of the year, bringing in memories of the past, now and thoughts for the future.
I tried to buy as little as possible to challenge myself even more.
I wrote in a small notebook to put down ideas and events behind the collages.
Here is how they were displayed and 12 of my favourite collages from the collection.
